Many travellers stay in a rental house or an apartment booked through a platform, not in a pousada. In Buzios that brings a challenge: addresses of houses and gated communities do not always show up well on GPS. This guide tells you what to send so the transfer drops you at the door.
What to have before you land
- The full address: street, number, block (quadra) and lot. In several areas streets are named with a letter or number.
- The Google Maps location your host shared, not only the text.
- A contact number for the host or the gatehouse.
- The name of the condominium, if there is one, and whether the gatehouse needs prior authorisation.
Gated communities and gatehouses
Some condominiums require the host to authorise the vehicle's entry. Ask them to register the passenger name and approximate time. If the driver cannot enter, he drops you at the nearest gate and we coordinate with you on WhatsApp.
When you arrive at night
